This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our websites, pointofcontact.ai and docs.pointofcontact.ai, operated by Innovations24 LLC, doing business as Point of Contact AI.
The short version: we set no tracking cookies. No analytics, no advertising, no pixels, no tag managers. The only things our sites keep in your browser are a few strictly functional items that remember your own choices.
Cookies and similar technologies
"Cookies" are small files a website stores in your browser. "Similar technologies" include localStorage and sessionStorage — browser storage that a site can read and write on your own device. Privacy rules treat these together, so we describe them together here even though, technically, the items below are browser storage, not cookies.
What we store
The items below are strictly necessary to make the sites work and remember your preferences. They stay on your device, they are not used to track you, and nothing in them is sent to us for analytics.
| Item | Type | Site | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
poc_cookie_consent | localStorage | pointofcontact.ai | Records that you acknowledged the privacy banner, so it does not reappear on every visit | Until you clear it |
sticky_cta_dismissed | sessionStorage | pointofcontact.ai | Keeps a floating call-to-action hidden after you dismiss it | Current browser session |
starlight-theme | localStorage | docs.pointofcontact.ai | Remembers your light or dark reading preference for the documentation | Until you clear it |
Because these are strictly necessary and set on your own device, they do not require your consent — but we tell you about them anyway.
Security cookies from our hosting provider
Our sites are served through Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider. To protect the sites (for example, against bots and abusive traffic), Cloudflare may set its own strictly-necessary security cookies, such as __cf_bm. These are set by Cloudflare, are used for security rather than tracking, and are outside our control. You can read more in Cloudflare's own cookie documentation.
What we do not use
- No analytics — we do not measure page views, sessions, or behavior.
- No advertising or marketing cookies — we do not run ads or retargeting.
- No third-party trackers or pixels — our fonts are self-hosted, so viewing a page does not call out to a font or ad network.
How to clear this storage
You are always in control. To remove the items above:
- Clear browser storage for our sites through your browser's settings (look for "Cookies and site data" or "Clear browsing data"). This removes localStorage and sessionStorage along with any cookies.
- Use private/incognito mode, which discards site storage when you close the window.
- On the marketing site, the "Manage preferences" option in the privacy banner lets you review the categories in use.
Clearing poc_cookie_consent or starlight-theme simply means the banner will reappear or your theme resets to the default — nothing else is affected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
